Scoops Ice Cream, The Chatham Creamery, is a lively ice cream shop on Main Street in Chatham. Opened in 2019 and expanded in 2022, we are a go-to spot for all ages. We specialize in premium ice cream, hot drinks, ice cream cakes and pies, and vegan and gluten-free options. Scoops fills two storefronts near the library.

Summertime with Scoops

During the summer, Scoops switches to window service. This allows people to enjoy their ice cream in the park near the library. For those looking to celebrate a special occasion, we offer two options. Customers can reserve the second storefront for a private party, and, during the warmer months, there is a VW bus that’s been retrofitted to serve ice cream at birthday parties, pool parties, corporate events, and block parties.

History

The Chatham area community has supported Scoops since it opened. Terry is happy to give back as a way of expressing his gratitude to everyone in town. Since 2019, Scoops has offered special sundaes where 20% of the cost of each sale has been donated to support the Chatham Performing Arts, the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, the Chatham Parent-Teacher Organization, and other groups. Direct support has been given to the Chatham Fire Department and the Chatham Educational Foundation as well, while donations in kind have been given to the National Night Out run by the Chatham PBA and the Trot the Manor organization.
