MORRISTOWN, NJ — This weekend, North Jersey beer lovers can indulge in over 170 craft brews as the Big Brew Beer Festival makes its highly anticipated return.
The festival will take place on March 1 at the Morristown Armory, located at 430 Western Avenue in Morristown. This year, the festival has switched things up, offering just one four-hour session, along with a VIP hour.
Attendees can sample more than 150 varieties of craft beer, cider, and sangria, with additional drink options also available.
The Big Brew Beer Festival is a community event, where attendees have the opportunity to try new brews, meet and hang out with other beer connoisseurs, and speak to brewery representatives. Various food vendors will be on-site, as area bands supply the soundtrack for the day of fun.
The festival kicks off with a VIP Hour from 12 to 1 p.m., with 500 tickets available. General Admission runs from 1 to 5 p.m., featuring live music by Mr. LoveJoy, officials said.
The festival is open to those 21 and older. Tickets are $70 online ($75 at the door) and include a souvenir tasting glass for unlimited beer samples from participating brewers. Food will also be available for purchase.
Designated drivers can attend for a reduced rate of $15, which includes entry, a bottle of water, and access to food, merchandise, and music.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Morris Rugby Corporation.
