Premiere Screening of “Travels with Darley: Revolutionary Road Trip New Jersey”
Learn about destinations where you can combine travel with history and food in New Jersey and meet PBS TV host Darley Newman. The Morris Museum will host a premiere screening of the Morristown and Princeton focused episodes of “Travels with Darley: Revolutionary Road Trip New Jersey” and a sneak preview of a third episode on Sunday, February 18 at 2 PM. This event is presented in partnership with Morris County Economic Development Alliance and Tourism Bureaus’ 250th committee.

What To Expect
The PBS series “Travels with Darley” is debuting three new episodes filmed in New Jersey focused on “Revolutionary Road Trips,” sites related to the American Revolution. The screenings of the new episodes from the long-running PBS series will be followed by a Q
&A discussion. Audience members will learn about hidden gems that they can visit in New Jersey and go behind the scenes on the filming with PBS television host and travel expert Darley Newman, Morris Museum’s Executive Director Tom Loughman, President & CEO of the MCEDA & Morris County Tourism Bureau, Craig Schlosser, and key experts. From Botswana to Belgium to Bowling Green, Kentucky, Newman has been traveling the world for the last 15 years, showcasing lesser-known destinations that travelers can experience.
Through the never-before-seen content, attendees will experience places in New Jersey, where Colonial history comes to life. Attendees will learn about historic pubs, restaurants and homes that famous figures George Washington and Alexander Hamilton visited, as well as key battlefields, parks, museums and encampment sites. Darley will also share local spots where you can taste history through unique New Jersey products like Revolutionary Beer and Laird’s Applejack, America’s oldest family of distillers.
