It was my dream to bring together some of my favorite things: gifts, this community and, of course, candy.

I opened Sugar Rush almost a decade ago in Madison, NJ. My love of gifting was its own gift passed down from my grandmother. They weren’t always big, but the presents she gave were always beautiful, wrapped lovingly and topped with a bow. To this day, when I have a gift for someone I end up giving it early, too excited to wait for them to open it.

It’s that joy that I want every child to feel when they’re in Sugar Rush. We know our customers’ due date, allergies and if their grandkid would like those earrings (she would, but maybe wait ‘til her ears are pierced ;). Come in, and you’ll always leave with a smile. It’s our guarantee.

Before I was a candy connoisseur ahead of the top treat trends, I was a kid rarely allowed to eat sweets. Gum was the very first thing I bought with money from my grandparents. I lived for summers, when we’d sneak a Ring Pop at the pool or share a handful of gummy bears. Our logo today is a wink to the sweets I savored as a kid.
