Popsical School of Performance connects teaching artists to students in their community. Unlike most music schools, all the musicians at Popsical are trained and tested in their knowledge and experience of music theory AND ear training, from POP to classiCAL music! After learning and practicing their custom-picked songs, students have the opportunity to perform with other students and our entire teaching team at our bi-annual recitals. We also now offer the alternative option to create a house concert, or a professional recording at our new “Planet Purple” recording studio!

After a while, students begin to discover that the notes, chord progressions and dynamic effects used by many artists are very similar; from Mozart to the Beatles, from Gershwin to Carol King, from Gloria Estefan to Taylor Swift… then the question is no longer what kinds of music the student can play, but which kind of music the student wants to play with!
