Plant Detectives has 10 acres of plant material, specializing in large size plants/trees. Great selection of seasonal plants for color. Year round gift shop featuring unique seasonal décor.
Plant Detectives was founded in 1996 by Art Laster in Ramsey, New Jersey. Our operation moved to Chester, New Jersey in 2001 and has called our 10 acre location "home" since. Art's original mission was simple, yet still guides us today; provide high-quality plant material.
One visit to our Chester nursery and you'll understand the Plant Detectives difference. Our large caliper trees, specimen evergreens, and Japanese maples are New Jersey's finest. We take pride in our commodity nursery stock, but acknowledge we don't carry it all. If we don't stock what your project requires, we'll do our best to accommodate special orders.
Whether you're a landscape contractor, garden center, municipality or homeowner, see for yourself why so many put their trust in Plant Detectives.

"Wonderful place with a wide variety and choice. I had gone there to check out some green giants. Even though it was almost closing time Eric took me around and answered all questions patiently. Did not rush through and sincerely wanted to me to get all the needed info before leaving. Definitely recommend!" - Naga Beeraka [via Google]
