The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Since our inception, Dress for Success Northern NJ – 10 Counties has served over 22,000 women, empowering each with training, a network of support, and provision of professional attire. We have been able to do this because of the commitment of our volunteers, generous contributions, and partnerships designed to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to serving our clients.

In 2019, we celebrated the close of a decade with a 36% increase in attendance at our Professional Women’s Group. This was largely in part, as a result of the 50 representatives from 26 companies, businesses, and non-profit organizations volunteer to serve as presenters, panelists, facilitators, and interactive vendors. Additionally, our 10-week Steps2Success boot-camp, powered by ADP, increased its participation by 17% from 2018. The program routinely enhances its curriculum to address market trends and launched a partnership with an artificial intelligence interview screening service to help clients enhance their level of comfort with interviews conducted in that fashion and to build their levels of confidence. The feedback has been amazing!

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to offer long-lasting solutions that enable women to break the cycle of poverty. Dress for Success is part of a global movement for change, empowering women to obtain safer and better futures.

We provide each client with professional attire to secure employment, but we are about much more than simply a new outfit. Besides physically equipping the client with apparel and accessories, our programs furnish her with a confidence that she carries forever and the knowledge that she can actively define her life, the direction she takes and what success means to her.
