Morristown, NJ – [8/9/24] – The Morris County Economic Development Alliance (Alliance) is pleased to announce the success of a recent event from this week focused on the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s (NJEDA) Activation, Revitalization, and Transformation (A.R.T.) Program – Phase II. This competitive grant program is designed to support nonprofit organizations in their efforts to revitalize community spaces through arts and cultural initiatives.
The A.R.T. Program – Phase II aims to catalyze community placemaking by leveraging the arts and cultural sector as a creative force for change. The program will provide funding for public space activation projects, including placemaking projects, public art installations, and arts- based endeavors, particularly in the downtown areas of 31 select municipalities that have been significantly impacted by reduced commuter traffic due to COVID-19.
The Alliance brought this event to the community to help local nonprofits learn more about the opportunities available through the NJEDA’s A.R.T. Program. Join us on August 8, 2024, at 10:15 AM at the Citizens Bank Theater in Roxbury, NJ for a complimentary program titled “Grants & Funding: NJEDA A.R.T Program Phase II.” This event is presented by the Morris County Economic Development Alliance’s Start-Up Move Up Morris Program and the Alliance’s Arts, History, & Culture Committee.
The session provided attendees with an overview of the A.R.T. Program, including eligibility criteria, the application process, and the various types of projects that can receive funding. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.
Craig Schlosser, President & CEO at Morris County Economic Development Alliance, stated, “We are dedicated to the revitalization and activation of the arts in our community and take great pride in hosting this programming. The A.R.T. Program represents a tremendous opportunity for our local nonprofits to harness the power of the arts and culture to drive positive change and economic growth.”
We encourage all interested nonprofit organizations to attend this informative session and learn how they can contribute to revitalizing their communities through the power of art and culture. For more information or to ask a specific question, please send an email to art@njeda.gov and a team member will reach out to you.
