CommunityMemorial Day Service and Parade Set for May 25 in Morristown and Morris Township

MORRISTOWN, NJ – Residents are invited to honor those who served during the annual Memorial Day observances hosted by the Memorial and Veterans Day Association of Morristown and Morris Township on Monday, May 25.

The day’s events will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Municipal Building, 50 Woodland Avenue, where participants will visit local memorial sites and lay wreaths in remembrance of fallen service members. Transportation and refreshments will be provided for those taking part in the morning tribute.

At 10 a.m., the Township’s official Memorial Day service will take place in front of the Municipal Building, recognizing local veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Municipal Building at 11 a.m.

Following the service, the annual Memorial Day parade will step off at 10:30 a.m., proceeding to the Morristown Green. A final memorial service will be held there at 11 a.m., concluding the morning’s observances.

Community members are encouraged to attend and take part in honoring the men and women who served the nation.
