The Ultimate New Year’s Eve Celebration

With a chill in the air and storefronts dazzled with seasonal décor, you can be sure everyone is ready to share some holiday cheer. But few things are as anticipated as a New Year’s Eve wish. If you’re looking to celebrate, First Night Morris County 2024 (December 31, 2023 to January 1, 2024) is one of the greatest New Year’s Eve celebrations in Morristown! Providing a magnificent family-friendly celebration, this year’s occasion features 70 performances at 20 venues (18 in-person, 1 streaming, and 1 on-demand), and 50+ on-demand films. Events include dance, theater, music, visual arts, children’s programs, a film festival, and much more. This event brings a wonderful celebration to Morris County to welcome in the new year in the form of a safe, alcohol-free, and substance-free community celebration.

It is safe to say that First Night Morris would not be the extraordinary event it has become without the contributions of our First Night team, supporters and volunteers, as well as our interns, which are made possible through our year-round FNM365 program.

Walter Deutsch, Chairman of First Night Morris County states, “We at First Night always try to bring a diverse and innovative program for the patrons who have a myriad of tastes.  I think this year we have done it once again, bringing new and exciting performers and artists that cross a wide variety of styles and genres. There is something for everyone in this year’s program no matter the age, background, or life experiences. It is about sharing a laugh, a musical high note, or a family experience and we have accomplished that in our 32nd program. Kudos to our programming team who make this possible.”

Craig Schlosser, President Emeritus & Advisory Board Chair of First Night Morris County mentions, “We are excited to bring the 32nd Annual First Night Morris County to life on New Year’s Eve in Downtown Morristown. Each year our amazing sponsors, partners and volunteers make First Night Morris County a reality. We are thankful for their continued support and excited to share this year’s First Night Morris County with you and your family.”

Noelle Gemma, FNM365 Lead, adds, “Being a lead mentor in the FNM365 program has been such a rewarding experience just knowing that future generations of students are receiving the opportunity to apply their talents and learn new skills that will set them on a track for success. Throughout this program, students are exposed to a range of technical and soft skills including, customer service, website development and UX design, marketing analytics, app development, and more. On behalf of the FNM365 program and our student interns, we are excited for you to join us in celebrating First Night Morris 2024!” Samantha Rutledge, Event Manager, comments “An event that brings joy and happiness to families near and far, First Night Morris County is filled with so many highly renowned performers and artists. We are thrilled again to ring in the New Year with two firework displays, one at 9:15 PM, which provides an opportunity for our youngest attendees to ring in the new year, and one at midnight, that includes a countdown.”
