Mansion in May Raises $1.65M for Morristown Medical Center’s Gagnon Institute
The Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) is pleased to announce its 20th Mansion in May Designer Showhouse and Gardens raised $1,650,000 to benefit the expansion of the Gagnon Institute of Bioskills Training and Innovation at Morristown Medical Center, which exceeded its pledge of $1.5 million.
Mansion in May is WAMMC’s preeminent designer showhouse in the New Jersey-New York area, having raised over $13 million since 1974 to benefit Morristown Medical Center. Mansion in May at Three Fields in the Borough of Mendham, which was brought to life through the design inspirations of 30 leading interior designers and 15 landscape architects, was open to the public from May 1, through May 31, 2023. More than 20,000 visitors toured the 9,000 square foot stone, brick and tile-roofed French manor style home built between 1928 and 1929, including its lovely gardens situated on 36 acres of pastoral, rolling fields.
“We are grateful to the Women’s Association for choosing the expansion and modernization of our Gagnon Institute of Bioskills Training and Innovation as the cause for its 20th Mansion in May fundraising event,” said Trish O’Keefe, PhD, RN, President, Morristown Medical Center. “Their generous donation will help as we modernize and expand our bioskills lab to ensure we provide the most advanced simulation training for our highly skilled health care professionals and ultimately for our patients.“
“The success of our Mansion in May Designer Showhouse and Gardens can be attributed to the commitment by our interior and landscape designers and the support of our sponsors and media partners, as well as our Mansion in May Committee members and volunteers,” said Dale Scolnick, President, Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center. “We are most grateful to our Mansion in May Co-Chairs, Mary Courtemanche and Barbara Ruane and past WAMMC President, Kathy Christie for their leadership, detailed planning and, more importantly, their dedication to delivering on our pledge to raise the funds to benefit the expansion and modernization of the Gagnon Institute of Bioskills Training and Innovation.”
