Led by experienced professionals in the field of mental health and addiction and law enforcement, this event is designed to provide practical tools and strategies for preventing addiction, managing stress, anxiety, and depression, and learning how to intervene early to prevent tragedy.
During this free seminar, you will gain a better understanding of addiction, mental health, and suicide prevention. You will also discover resources for seeking help and support and hear from experienced professionals in the field of mental health and addiction. Furthermore, you will learn what signs to watch for and how to intervene early to prevent these issues from spiraling out of control.
Tracy Cappiccille, LPC, Director of Suicide Prevention Services, Mental Health Association will present life-saving information for adults and students.
In addition to mental health experts, the Florham Park Police Chief Joseph Orlando, detectives of the Florham Park police department, and Morris County Sheriff James Gannon will be in attendance to educate on current drug abuse issues, use and addiction prevention, and Narcan training. Additionally, hear from Tommy Hudanish of The Nicholas Hudanish Foundation on the importance of prevention and teaching young people how to make good choices. The Nicholas Hudanish Foundation was established to honor the memory of Nicholas Hudanish, who lost his fight against the disease of addiction in November 2016.
